Aix les Bains is a serigraph of an advertisement illustrated by Leonetto Cappiello in 1921 for the southeastern French town of the same name. Also known simply as Aix, this town is known for its thermal spas, Roman ruins, and Gothic architecture.
Cappiello helped lead the Art Deco movement and is considered the “father of the modern poster” because he created advertisements that were also collectible pieces of art.
This piece is not framed, however, we have included images of what it might look like in a simple, contemporary, black frame.
