Originally from Portland, Oregon and a graduate of Portland State University, Michael Tienhaara currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although primarily a self-taught artist, during the last few years Michael has completed workshops and private study with such internationally known artists such as Ken Auster, Michael Hallinan, Jeff Horn, Mark Kerckhoff, and Michael Schofield. Tienhaara’s contemporary landscape paintings are a modernized style of impressionism. They have a somewhat simplified feel, capturing the essence of what he sees. The rich colors and thick brushstrokes create beautiful compositions. All paintings are available for sale.
