About this artist

Interested in art from a very early age, Mark Shtalman spent much of his childhood in Russia admiring the Master Painters. His paintings reflect the interest he had in bold color combinations, and he uses a pronounced color palette to express his scenes. Shtalman typically paints still lifes with a contemporary flair and whimsical outlook. His thick application of paint also give his paintings a texture that adds to their vibrancy. He now lives and works in Israel, where he continues to produce a number of wonderfully high-spirited paintings.
