Born in 1946 in Jersey, Michael Richecoeur is an established printmaker who is part of the illustrious Printmakers Council of Great Britain. He attended the Royal College of Art, where Richecoeur obtained a Master Degree of 1971 & developed experience with colored etchings. Michael Richecoeur uses the surrounding landscapes as his main source of inspiration. Richecoeur strives to evoke strong emotions based on the scenery, which is superimposed through the contours of the landscape he chooses. He was also inspired by techniques derived from Chinese concepts, mostly the idea of expressing the order & harmony these landscapes embue. Many of his most notable works have been created into limited editions.
