About this artist

Catherine Raynes is an artist from Massachusetts who paints classical New England landscapes and seascapes. While earning her degree in fine art, she studied extensively in Europe where she was influenced by many of the dutch masters. Working on location, her paintings focuses on the dramatic light and nature of her subjects with a special fondness for the beauty of the New England region. Painting in both contemporary and traditional style her artwork has been shown in numerous group and solo exhibitions and has been featured in magazines and several galleries.
