Rocket’s Red Glare by artist Bill Purdom is a hand signed and numbered limited edition print on paper in an edition of 600. This baseball print captures the moment that Roger Clemens of the Boston Red Sox struck out a record 20 batters on April 29th, 1986. It also captures the old Fenway Park before the current ownership came in and renovated the ballpark.

About Bill Purdom
Artist William Purdom (1953-2016) was a sports artist who began his career as an illustrator in NYC after studying visual design at Auburn University. While doing work for advertising agencies Purdom illustrated numerous billboards for dozens major international companies. Eventually turning to fine arts, Bill began doing professional sports prints, capturing nostalgic and famous moments in sports history. His work can be seen in numerous television series including Seinfeld and Everyone Loves Raymond, as well as the movie “Moneyball” about the Oakland A’s.
