About Paul Strisik:
Born in 1918 in Brooklyn, NY, Paul Strisik is a nationally acclaimed traditional artist who focused on capturing the reasons why multiple aspects of nature are so unique. He studied at the Art Students League in New York with Frank Vincent Dumond, where he was able to learn the “cause & effect” technique in order to create understanding in the effects of movement & order. After moving to Rockport in 1955, he would maintain his own art gallery until his death in 1998.
Strisik had numerous one-man shows across the country in various locations like the National Academy of Western Art in Oklahoma City, The Grand Central Galleries in New York City and the Andover Gallery of Fine Arts in Andover. He was also member of many prestigious organizations including the New England Watercolor Society, the International Society of Marine Painters, the Oil Painters of America, & Academician in the National Academy of Design. Over the course of his career, Paul Strisik won a total of 185 awards for his work, 17 of which were gold medals.
