John Lewis Egenstafer was born in 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and took a major interest in American realism. Specifically, he focuses on the Mid-West Plains, focusing on their openness & tranquility. Egenstafer was not only Dean of Instructors at Franklin College, but he also is part of the British Royal Art Society.
