About Iren Schio:

Born in 1952 in Zurich, Switzerland, Iren Schio started her art career when studying at the Arts School of Kunstgewerbeschule, Zurich. She would later become a longtime artist-in-residence at the Little Earth School in Santa Fe when she moved to New Mexico in 1976. Schio specializes in mixed media for multiple different mediums, which is accomplishes through using collage techniques to create a layered consistency & to construct “visual poetry”. Her work has been displayed in the Albuquerque Museum in New Mexico and The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC.
