About Elise Lunden:
Born in 1977, Elise Lunden pursued an education in illustration and animation at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco due to her initial influence for creation from her older brother, who was a comic book artist and an animator. Additionally, she also took a lot of early inspiration Italian Renaissance masters with their details and innovation. She specifically cited that their contributions to art has impacted every era and movement beyond them, specifically due to their attention to true anatomy and perspective.
Lunden’s work encompasses splatters of colors that help bolden and enrich her work, especially her landscapes which embrace countrysides and spring flowers. On top of her paintings, she also creates inspired sculptures that embody light and movement due to Lunden’s use of luminescence and various patinas. Lunden hopes one day to use her creative skills to produce a children’s book.
