About Marla Korr
Marla Korr is an artist from New York City whose plein air landscape and city-scapes focus on the mood and atmosphere of her surroundings. Raised in a family of artists, Marla Korr’s love for landscape painting came from her father, who would take the family upstate in the summer to enjoy the Hudson Valley.
After earning her MFA, she continued her studies at the Stevenson Academy of Traditional Painting completing an intensive six-year program that honed her skills as a fine artist.
She spends significant time painting in NYC and on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard as well as teaching. She is also a member of the Salmagundi Club and the American Artists Professional League. Her work has been shown in fine galleries, and Museums around the Northeastern US.
