About Andres Segovia:
Andres Segovia (1929-1996), was a twentieth century Argentinian artist. He studied in both Buenos Aires and Paris. By the mid-1950s he was exhibiting his paintings and lithographs in Europe, the United States, and Argentina. Many of his works took on a surrealist style. Examples of his work can be found in the permanent collections of The Museum of Contemporary Art, Dusseldorf, the Musee de l’Athenee, Geneva, the Nathan Cummings Foundation, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. He was notably collected by the likes of Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart.
