Le Vieux Portrait (16×16 hand signed & numbered chine colle etching on paper)

Romanian-French artist Wanda Mihuleac spent much of her early childhood painting and Drawing before attending the National University of Art in Bucharest and the University of Paris Pantheon-Sorbonne. She has lived in France since 1989, curating national exhibitions and creating a range of contemporary mixed media. Mihuleac specializes in a printmaking technique called Chine-Collé (roughly translating to “tissue glue” in French), in which a copper plate is dusted with rosin, heated, and bathed with acid. This leaves a distinct relief and a golden overlap upon the final image once it is transferred on to paper. Mihuleac is permanently exhibited in Paris and throughout Europe.
