John Mecray was one of a handful of artists that we handle who paints nautical scenes and seascapes. An internationally known artist, he painted with a truly remarkable precision. If you look closely at the image you can actually see the rigging of the sails and all the details of the vessel itself. The lighting and the movement of the water help to give his work the realistic qualities and dynamic sense of action that any sailing enthusiast would love. His artwork is widely collected, and we have several of his limited edition prints for sale here in the gallery.
