About this artist

Francois (Fanch) Ledan

Francois Ledan was born in the French region of Brittany in 1949. His parents were a doctor and dentist, respectively, and emphasized the importance of education in their children. Indeed, Fanch himself had received 3 bachelor’s degrees in math, science, and philosophy by the age of 19. It was later, while living in Paris, that he began his art career. He started printmaking in 1973, which is the medium he is best known for using. He is also best known for his depictions of bright interiors and popular attractions around the world.
