Edward Gordon (1940-2023) was an American artist known for his paintings of domestic, interior spaces. His ability to capture his subjects with an astonishing degree of detail and a keen understanding of light, is remarkable for a largely self-taught artist.

Artist Edward Gordon is able to capture the detail of his subject with an astonishing degree of detail. Focusing mainly on interior scenes, Gordon’s artwork conveys a certain degree of elegance in the bold simplicity with which he paints. The lighting in his work also brings warmth to the composition. Largely self taught, Gordon had a long career as a CPA before taking the bold step of following his passion to paint starting around 1980. After 40 years of painting, Edward Gordon passed away at his home in Vermont in December of 2023. We have an excellent collection of the artist’s giclees on canvas and paper for sale.
