About this artist

Vincent George A talented young artist from Upstate New York, Vincent George spent his formative years hiking and sketching the lush green hills surrounding his home. Later, he began to use paint over the sketches to give his artwork more vibrancy. He went on to study at the Pratt Institute where his style evolved toward the surrealist landscape painter that he is today. His use of strong color and perspective give his paintings a mystical sense of infinite depth. Recently, he has been experimenting with “torch” paintings in which he burns a flat panel of wood with a blow torch to help define the grain, and then stains over it incorporating the dark and light wood grain into the composition.
