Souvenirs de Paris by Michel Delacroix is a triptych of original lithographs that was published in conjunction with a Deluxe Edition book limited to 500. Each original lithograph for the triptych is signed by the artist and numbered 1/500 to 500/500, plus 20 artist’s proofs to correspond with the signed and numbered copy of the Deluxe Edition book. All materials come together in a decorative collectors box.

From left to right, the first etching is Hotel du Nord, center etching is Petitot & Gemdre, and the last etching is Cafe Tabac. Each etching has an image size of 10x13in and a paper size of 13x17in.

Michel Delacroix is a well known and easily recognizable artist who works primarily in a primitive style. His subjects include street scenes of Paris and other settings in the French countryside, primarily during the Nazi occupation, which he experienced as a child. Delacroix’s work combines structure and detail with rich color to convey the bustling, diverse activity of Paris and the quaint majesty of the French Chateaux.

Michel Delacroix limited edition prints
Michel Delacroix is a renowned and easily recognizable artist who works primarily in a primitive style. Known mostly for his busy Parisian street scenes that capture the bustling activity and distinctive architecture of the city, the artist also paints more tranquil scenes of the French countryside.
Michel Delacroix Biography:
Born in 1933, Delacroix began painting at a young age. He eventually went to art school and after experimenting with different styles, began to develop a unique primitive naive style reminiscent of folk art. During the late 1970’s he began working in print making and his artwork was published and sold throughout the world. In the US, Michel Delacroix has enjoyed immense success, selling out numerous editions and printing several books on his artwork. The artist has had numerous one man shows around the world, and was commissioned to do the official painting of the 1996 olympics.
