Growing up in a small coastal village, Brenda Cirioni experienced a deep connection to nature. She studied drawing and painting at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Her paintings explore tension between elements of nature, regeneration and destruction, impermanence and exuberance. Her art touches on power, grace, and transformation in an uncertain world. Cirioni believes in reuse and recycling. She transitioned from a painter to a mixed media artist and focuses on the overlooked or discarded as beautiful. Her method of juxtaposing disparate materials draws attention to the mystery of life.
