About this artist

Born in Germany, Ursula Brenner has been influenced by a rich cultural background of old world museums, art, music and architecture. The artist lives and works in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she attended Edgecliff College, graduating in 1978 with a BA in Drawing and Painting. Brenner’s contemporary abstract paintings are featured in several galleries and private and corporate collections internationally. An award-winning artist, she was chosen to attend the Vermont Studio Center on partial scholarship in 2002. Brenner’s colorful abstract paintings capture a cheerful spontaneity and lightheartedness. Her designs start with a base of rich, solid neutrals over which she layers splashes of bright neons and strokes of bold color.
