Antonia Tyz Peeples was born into a creative family in Connecticut. Her mother was a painter and her father was a photographer. By the time she was ten years old, her parents encouraged her to embark on lessons in painting from local artists. Post high school, Peeples studied at Eastern Connecticut State University. She also studied a Silvermine Guild Art Center of New Canaan, CT. Her paintings have been featured in American Art Collector Magazine, the American Society of Marine Artists, Copley Society of Art, and many other group and solo shows at galleries, societies, and museums in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and throughout New England.
Artist Statement – “Water is a never ending source of inspiration for me…The surface designs, deep waters and shore breaks offer an infinite array of beautiful complexity. Ever changing and omnipresent, the ocean is such a universal part of our existence. There is a certain feeling of connectedness when sitting by its shores.”
