About this artist

Fortunato Ornaghi was born in 1930 in Lombardy, Italy. In Ornaghi we discover an artist with a penchant for landscapes which, always painted en plein air he depicts with great poetic sense. In fact, he spends much of his time in the woods, absorbing the nature which brings him so much pleasure. He prefers to depict the simple and eternal subject of generally sylvan landscape. Fortunato's forest imagery has been warmly received by nature lovers around the world. His palette is rich in shading, from the cold, slightly misty colors of a breaking dawn to the warm reddish tones of a summer sunset; from the tender green of spring to the white winter snows. In Ornaghi all is poetry, and thus, he can be defined as a poetic artist.
