Mary Nolan is a plein air painter who spends much of her time on Cape Cod. While many artists focus exclusively on the ocean, Mary enjoys painting the coastal marshlands and inland waterways. With her unique style and her attention to light, weather, and time of day, she is able to convey a mood of serenity and solace while simultaneously capturing the beauty of Cape Cod. Mary Nolan was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and was raised in the New England area. In 1974, she graduated from Vesper George School of Art in Boston. In 1992 Nolan returned to school to further pursue her formal education.
