About the Artist

Vinça Monadé teaches ceramics at the “Gué à Tresmes” school, in France. When she is not teaching, she has personal art projects to work on. Monadé studied graphic design and other studio arts at Amore’s studio at the Beaux-Arts university in Paris. She completed her studies with a degree in Art History and developed a passion for the art of the Middle Ages and the Italian Primitives. Monadé then became interested in silkscreen printing and worked at Jérôme Arcay’s Parisian studio. Her biggest inspiration is the line. Many of her works revolve around lines with shapes that seem both geometric and organic.
