About this artist

Marieluise Hutchinson is an American landscape painter whose work brilliantly captures the charm, rugged beauty, and overall essence of the rural New England countryside. Or as she likes to say "Traditional, realistic, rural New England." Painting with exceptional detail, her subjects range from the old farmhouses on rolling hills to the seaside cottages with panoramic views of the ocean. The distinct seasons of New England, as well as the region's unique character, present an endless source of inspiration for the artist with their homesteads, fields and farmlands. A self taught artist from Cape Cod Massachusetts and Cushing, Maine,  Marieluise has achieved great success as a realist painter.  She is a Copley Master at the Copley Society of Boston and a Master Artist at the Cape Cod Art Center.  Marieluise is also in the permanent collection at the Cahoon Museum of American Art and the Cape Cod Museum of Art. Artist's Statement: "For me painting is a reaching out of expression by capturing simplicity in the commonplace. Admittedly, my paintings reflect an affection for our past; I try to keep my work honest and thoughtful and thrive on the interaction I receive from my collectors. Being technically skilled and having a vision of the possibilities in every painting is a life long process and an artists gift."
