About this artist

Trish Hurley Paintings

Combining elements of plein air and studio painting, Trish Hurley captures the essence of the landscape as opposed to recording every detail of her subject. The artist's technique involves the use of palette knife and her fingers to create loose, painterly compositions with a semi-abstract feel. Using contrasting blocks of color to achieve depth and perspective her paintings convey motion, as well as the variable mood and atmosphere of the natural world.
