About this artist

Anne Garton The seascape paintings of artist Anne Garton focus on the ever-changing relationship between the land, sky, and the sea. The soft, incandescent light hovering over Cape Cod has attracted her attention, and she captures the interplay of all these elements in a beautifully distinctive manner. Anne received her formal Art Education in Canada, studying illustration at the Ontario College of Art. This is the area where she was born, and it continues to inspire her love for landscape painting. Having spent over 30 years on Cape Cod, Anne enjoys painting atmospheric compositions mostly on the beaches in and around Eastham, MA.  She still spends time in Ontario and enjoys painting the landscapes there as well. Anne has participated in numerous juried exhibitions, including shows at the Duxbury Art Association,  The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, and the Northeast Show at the Cambridge Art Association which was juried by the Curator of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Nicolas Baum. Garton's artwork is also included in numerous private collections. Other artists you may like: Suzanne Clifford-Clark Will Klemm
