About this artist

Beryl Cook - Artist Hand Signed limited edition prints Price Range: $750-$3,000 The paintings and prints of British artist Beryl Cook make people laugh. Born in 1926 Beryl did not even start painting until middle age after careers as a show girl and pub owner, among other things. A shy and private person, she discovered her artistic talent by picking up some paints during some spare time and simply enjoyed it. Before long, a gallery in England realized her talent and held an exhibition. Beryl Cook Died in 2008, but not before she became one of England's most well known artists, with several newspaper articles and even a short BBC film about her life and work. Like many good humorists, her eye catches the idiosyncrasies and quirks in everyday life that most of us don't always recognize immediately. Then she steps back and paints them. "I paint ordinary people enjoying themselves", she would say. We have a wonderful selection of Beryl's lithographs and serigraphs. All Artwork is available for sale.
