Igor Khramov was born on the 10 th October 1963. After receiving a degree in architecture, he became interested primarily in the specialty of landscape design. With some foral training, he began painting the landscapes of central Russia.

Khramov's pictures express the spirit of Russian nature, showing beauty and colors of the Middle-Russia landscape. Using a broad, loose brushstroke, he fills the canvas with a textured array of soft colors, highlighted with darker shading. The result is wonderfully impressionistic, moody, landscapes that capture everything from the warmth of the sun on a hot summer day, to the crisp solitude of a winter dusk. He has recently begun travelling to capture a wider variety of subject matter in order to hone his skills.

Since 1988 he has continually participated in art exhibitions in Russia and other countries, including the United States. We have these pieces in the Natick Gallery at the moment, so let us know if you would like to come by and see them in person.

 Thanks.
