An artist from New England, Karen Jones received her training at the Museum of Fine Arts School, Boston and the Art Institute of Boston. Her love and knowledge of art has been passed down through generations of artists in her family.
She works in both pastels and acrylics, using a wide sweeping motion of her brush to convey the sense of movement in her sky and land. Karen creates serene, contemplative landscapes that reflect the natural settings around her. Recently she has been using a palatte knife in her acrylic paintings to create a more dimensional effect on the canvas.
