Born in Lowell, MA, Stephen Rostler was educated at Phillips Andover Academy, Cornell University and Boston University School of Medicine. His first serious camera was purchased while he served as a medical officer in Vietnam. After establishing a career in the practice of ophthalmology, he began to devote more time to fulfilling a creative ambition through the medium of photography. While most of his professional time is dedicated to providing sight to others, he has discovered that the new discipline of digital photography opened an opportunity to explore his own vision. |
