Peter Dreyer has been a professional photographer for over 35 years. Many of his photos are created with special effects, all of which he achieves in a traditional darkroom. The photograph seen here is a photogram. These are created by placing an object, a leaf in this case, on photographic paper and then exposing the paper as it would normally be done. The object that is placed on the paper creates a white silhouette. Other special effects that Peter incorporates include reflecting objects back on themselves in the photo and zooming in on specific parts of the object that he is photographing. These effects create a very unique, individual look. |
